84-89? mirrors...CO
« on: May 11, 2010, 10:31:11 AM »
My junk came with the huge "semi-truck" mirrors and I hate them forever. I'm looking for the smaller mirrors, maybe from an SR5 or 2wd? They have 2 or 3 screws holding them to the door and are usually black but color doesn't matter... I have chrome in a can  :disturbed:

Ships to 80908 if anyone has some... paypal is ready to go!

Dan,
My Runner has the black "car type" mirrors and I hate them!  I want the "semi Truck" style, aka the kind I can actualy see out of.  Are yours in decent shape?  Maybe we could just straight up trade.  I'm in NC, 28460 i'll get a pic if your interested?

Nate

PS love your build, I have the same little Miller and i'm just learning to weld.  I wish my fab and welding skills were half as good as yours!

Dan the wife has the camera in her purse right now but I have a picture of my 82 Truck and it has the identical mirrors....

Are these the type you are looking for?  My 86 Runner has the same exact black mirrors, no cracks or anything and I'd love to trade you for the fullsize version.  My doors actually have the holes in them for those style mirrors so it would look better if I could cover them up.  I'm in NC, 28460 for shipping purposes.

I just hate how they're a pain to adjust; the passenger's side is all loosey-goosey but the glass is intact. They were chrome but I sprayed some 3M undercoating on them; I don't know how well you can see it in my build pictures.

I'd be up for a trade, I can get better pics if you want too.

Can the "loosey goosey be fixed?  Not to familiar with how they adjust.  Pics would be cool but if they are in good condition i'll take your word for it Dan.  Let me know I can pull em tomorrow and send them your way.  You can PM me an address if you like or email me at owen_nathan@hotmail.com whatever you prefer.

I bought one for my pass online, it was cheap bolted up fine and holds in place fine. Its just as good as my drivers side and looks the exact same.

All Im lacking is a flux capacitor and the ability to hit 88.
