well i don't know how hard it would be to inject a 79 Truck. the wiring doesn't sound like much fun.

make sure all ur grounds are good ... bat to body bat to motor alt to motor and valve cover to body sounds like a ground problem...depends on the swap and what all u want converted..350 to 600

what ever you wanna put in i can make work i jus need both harnesses to make one out of the two... check your altinator there should be a ground running from it to ur block  as well as one from the center of your firewall to the valve cover

i have one that goes from fender to motor mount to block. going to add a couple to the bat to the block and frame to block in the next couple of days to see if that might help.

You're not going to see a ground coming from the alt. I would just swap to a gm one wire. I could never get my Toyota alt to charge more than 13.5 volts and with my Taurus e-fan on it would drop to 12.7. I put in a gm 1 wire and Now it's 14.7 volts and 14.2 with the fan on

There was a guy who sold the bracket on pirate. But nowtrail gear sells it. So you replace the stock bracket, bolt the alternator up and run a 4 gauge wire from the alt. To the battery. Simple install took about 45 minutes
