AC switch question
« on: Mar 30, 2010, 05:52:13 PM »
What is the Volt/amperage rating for the factory AC switch out of a 2nd gen pickup? I no longer have AC, and I want to run some accessories off of it. Thanks.

Have it trigger a relay, then you don't have to worry about it...........

You should always use relays
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Relays are for sissys, nothing like a hot wire to keep the cab of your truck warm when the heater doesn't work. I would imagine that it is a low voltage switch but it should have a relay already there from the old A/C compressor. What would be really sweet is if what you are planning on using it for is under the hood then the wire that used to trigger the clutch could be used and it already has the old fuse right in the fuse block.
