Shifter Clearance
« on: Mar 03, 2010, 06:49:31 AM »
I've got what I assume to be an odd problem, and don't know where to start. First off, it's an 87 4runner with the 22re and w56. When I put it into reverse, the stick shift lever hits the T-Case shifter. I've got to do it carefully or I'll put it into 4H!

Any reason for this? This is my first 1st gen. Always had 3rd gen, so still learning!

Thanks.

possible, i guess. except this truck is ALL STOCK, never been apart. It looks like it has been rubbing that way for awhile. I'm replacing the clutch next weekend, so I'll check that to make sure.
