If you have access to a IFS 4wd parts truck or 4wd parts it isn't much harder than doing an SAS.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Depends on how much fabbing you can do, or if you have someone that can help you with it.  Do a SAS, and find a t-case that will bolt to your transmission (you may have to find a new transmission/t-case combo depending on your tranny.

I recall reading that the 2WD frame has more clearance for a leafed SAS than the 4WD frame.  If you're going to SAS it anyway, there's not much difference between the two.  The only extra expense would be a t-case (and maybe tranny) for the 2WD...

89-95 4Runners are a dime a dozen.   I would only convert if your doing a SAS becuse you would have to do fab work whether it was 2wd or 4wd.   If all you want is IFS just look for another truck.

*Edited*   crap.   old thread.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
