Sensor Light? REMEDY FOUND
« on: Nov 29, 2004, 06:51:14 PM »
Coming back from santa cruz just trucking along the 46, and my sensor light lit up. The truck still starts and drives fine. Is this the 02 sensor? the truck is an 81 carb 22r

Update:  Did some searching around on other forums, turns out the light is a simplifed "check your o2 sensor" light. Gov emission regulations required toyota to install them in there trucks. To reset, you simply locate a small white switch on the end of a wire under the drivers side dash, near the dead pedal area. Keep the truck turned on cycle the switch and the light goes off for another 80,000 miles or so.    :driving:
