i had a 5 in block with my springs which ended up in an s :hammerhead:
i now changed from my stiff sagging skyjacker springs to some alcans.  i also added anti-wrap bars just in case.

i would take a good look at your springs.  are they arched or in an s :screwy:  if they're in an s then you need new springs cuz they're gonna break soon.

then get rid of your blocks!  run a drop hangar or get new springs.  then i would look at a track bar.  i'm no master mechanic but i think there's a reason you don't see big blocks with a track bar.

good luck and don't waste  :twocents: trying to take shortcuts will do that to you

The track bar is your best bet.  I could have used one on my mazda setup.  I have a question.  What year truck do these f150 springs come from?  Do you have any pictures of your setup?  Thanks.

Hey KYOTA,

I want to build a trac bar before the end of the year. Did you get plans/measurements from the internet or are you just gifted?

Shifter, FYI Marlin sells springs now and are better quality than the All-Poos

Hey KYOTA,

I searched around and found it.

Here's the link: http://www.mindspring.com/~jayk3/toyota/rear_susp.htm

I'm going to get some metal and this will be the next thing I do for my rig, thanks!

Mike, when you build it make the bracket for the 3rd first, tack it on and then determine the length of the top bar to horse collar. You'll also notice in my last pic of the shackle I left the jam nut loose, the cheap rod end ( 5/8" rod end from a tractor 3 link, $8 @ tractor supply) didnt have enough lateral movement under full flex so by leaving the jam nut loose, the trac bar can turn on the threads when the rod end runs out of movement.

That works because it can never screw in or out unless you flip the whole trac bar. I know the tierod end must be stainless or have some kind of coating, but do you think with all of the movement that it will wear through the coating and then begin to rust?

I dont think that it moves all that much ( picture 4 o'clock to 8 o'clock ) and they are coated but I did grease the threads on mine, could use never seize too, and I bought three rod ends thinking I was going to use them at all three attachment points but used old shock eyes on the 3rd end so I have 2 spares. Oh and looking at the rod end in the pic theres twice as much thread in the tubing than whats showing on the outside.

KYOTA Does that trac bar you made raise up the rear of your truck when you gas it? Me and me cuz built one for his YJ. And when he gives it some juice, it raises one side of his YJ. His is pretty much the same as yours. Except it's offset to the pass side. We cuoldn't get it to fit any other way.

I havent noticed anything like that with mine, I've had people watch my pinion when I'm crawling/climbing and its solid,             this set-up works.
