Tacoma 15" vs. 4Runner 16" Wheels
« on: Jul 18, 2009, 09:46:45 PM »
Will the 15" Toyota Aluminum Wheels off of a Tacoma [Model Year Unknown] fit my 1998 Limited 4Runner running 16" Toyota Aluminum Wheels?  The wheels are of the same OEM design.  Is the offset the same for these two wheels?

After talking to Discount Tire and the dealership, it appears that even though the 1998 4Runner came with 15 inch wheels in the base and SR5 models they don't fit on the limited models.  Discount Tire has a note in the system that warns against 15 inch wheels and the dealership confirmed that there are different part numbers for the brakes.  Not sure exactly what the difference is, but there seems to be one.

It'll work, though, if you swap the calipers.  Course, that's a bit pricey...
