Busted shock mount

I found out today that I have a busted rear shock mount
Obviously I need to get it fixed, but can I jusyt get it rewelded, or I need to do somethign else??  Also, is it safe to drive on??

Just weld a plate across the hole and get a new shock mount to weld on

Um you might be able to, but it will just break again... shock mounts arent that expensive :-\\

Well it is most likly not hardened steel and if it isn't then you can weld it and it will be just fine but if it is hardened then it will bridle the steel and it will break. If you have a bender just go buy some 2" tubing and and weld it to the frame.like this

It really don't matter just might sit a little lopsided and ride diff but it won't hurt nothing

Hey, until I get the means to get that fixed, can I just drill a hole and run a grade 8 bolt through there?? would that be strong enough?? I've been driving around on my springss and the ride isnt too bad but I feel like I am on a damn boat.( didnt know toyota made those  :greengrin:) I dont know how well it would work.

Dude just weld the puppy back on with low heat to build it up, and then take some high heat on both sides of the first welds.

Ya if u want, just stick 2 grade 8+ bolts in there and itll hold ya till u get it welded  :crossed:
