Long Spline Drive Shaft parts
« on: Apr 26, 2009, 02:27:32 PM »
This is whats left of my old driveshaft, its a marlin crawler 8" travel long spline that IS bent, the splines themselves are what is bent, although they still slide perfectly and i never noticed any difference when i used 4wheel drive at low speeds.  I bent this last summer and continued to use it on a few more trips and a snow run, so it functioned just fine for all of that, i only replaced because i went with a longer travel spline.  These sell new for $180, plus mine has some tube still in that you might use.   Its ~25.5" compressed and 32" extended.   This would work great on a low speed crawler, but i sure wouldn't recommend it for highway use.
I want $90 OBO
Located in Santa Rosa Ca currently, but ill be back home in groveland ca in a month.
post up here or call Andy @ 209 770 1475

this shows how bent it is

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike
