who's in the southeast here?
« on: Jul 02, 2002, 01:49:17 PM »
Who on this BB lives in easy travel distance from middle tennessee to go trail riding? We're looking for more trails to ride on around here. I'm in Nashville and would like any new info on trails in and around a couple of hours drive from here for weekend runs. Northern Alabama... East Tennessee... We've got great trails in Tellico and the Cumberland Canyon and a few other places but we need new challenges.

Anybody got suggestions? Anybody wanna ride?

No :pokinit:.

So! Who's close enough for me to come wheel with? Think I could pull a Marlin and drive nonstop to the west coast. Ride for a day or two and drive non stop back to Tennessee? Who's ready? I'll be there in the morning around 9:15.

;D

I don't check in here too often - but another Middle Tennessean here :p

Places to ride seem to be less and less these days :(

Summertown is one option sif you like body damage, MTTR is workign on leasign land for us to use all our own, but not a lot of other options right now...

I notice the old meeting place is no more - where are you guys meeting now-a-days?

Well ah'll be! A sutherner!

Thanks David. By the way, who are you and where are you located? I've been to summertown but didn't like it much. They have a couple of cool trails but they're only about 100 yards long each. We like the Canyon up on the plateau and Tellico.

We've been moving the meetings all over the place and I hate it. Where was it when you last knew about it? Looks like Gatti's again for a while.

David Moore - blue 90 model flatbed, SAS, boggers, etc...

I went to a few meeting over at the gas station on Charlotte, Back in 2000 or so.

I live in Spring Hill, work in Nashville.  Truck is currently in pieces getting a major make-over.

Which gatti's are you meeting at?

I remember David Moore. I remember the truck too. Who've you been riding with? The meeting place should be the same next month at the Gatti's  just off 440 and West End. First Tuesday of the month.

Hey Land Cruiser. Do I know you?

Can't make that weekend but I talked to a guy the other day that said he's been on those trails and thought the network was pretty cool. He also said the difficulty level was pretty high too. How long is the drive from Nashville to this park and could we set a date in the future to bring some of the club guys out?

Just let us know when you want to come over.Shouldn't be a problem at all getting a group together to wheel.

Thanks Scott. If I could run out to the Golden State and go wheelin, you know I'd call you. I just can't see making it out there any time soon. Maybe when the girls are both in college. >:(

Rabbit Hash? Habbit Rash. That's what I get when I haven't wheeled in a while. Never heard of it. I'll look it up. The club's in a funk I think and it's been hard to get people to ride. :headshake:
