I'd go but I gotta fix my 4 wheel drive first

ok... now we're unsure on WERE exactly we're going  :shake:.. no one wants to go to Slickrock now because the snow might be to high.

I suggested Eagle Lakes up right next to Fordyce, waiting for some feedback. If you e-mail me and want to go i'll keep you updated!

should be a fun snow run

We just got back from slickrock, went there on saturday Oct 23.  Here's some pics: http://gettinoff4x4.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=119&sid=8fd2d605c8257017ed615fcd0846ad9f

At that time snow wasn't too bad, maybe about 1 foot on spicer road.  We managed to get 2 open diff'd jeeps with big tires and a locked and lifted IFS toyota truck through the stairsteps and the big granite face.  Unfortunately, I am too low and didn't get past the first rock obstacle.  I'm sure by now there's a lot more snow on the ground up there.  But, you guys can make it a snow run just on spicer road.  Our club does that...we hit spicer rd just to see how far we can get.

It was kinda funny to see a bunch of hardcore guys in built jeeps standing around the trailhead too afraid of going down the trail and then seeing my stock looking 93 4runner head right on down to the trail.

Well, if the ideal of excluding the lesser equipped (stock or otherwise) is accepted... there is no fundamental difference between that and a Sierra CLub ideal of exclusion. If we cannot embrace the 4wheel users as a whole. We are not fighting for access. I cannot be that shortsighted
