Okay let me rephrase my question.  I want to bob the bed of my truck.  I do not have a welder nor do I feel confident enough to weld up the bed and have it look good. So what im asking is if I paid someone to do it for me what would be a reasonable price ?

I don't think it'd be worth it to pay someone to do it IMO.  Of course, it also depends on how much work you do to prep it.  Its a couple hour job, start to finish, so you're probably looking at $300 or so for a shop to do it.  Figure roughly $100 an hour for the welders time, plus tax and materials.  However, if you cut the section off, and had it all prepped, you might get away with $75-100 or so :dunno:

I would say more like $500 to have it done if you include paint and body work.  At least that is what I would charge if someone came to me and asked me to do it.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

ok, if you want paint and body work its going to be a lot more money and will take more then a couple hours. i guess it all depends on how you want it to look when its finished.

Myself and some other freinds of mine on this board helped a guy do a SAS, change the rear coils of a 4runner to leafs rebuild front axle, diff guards and bumpers for nothing, well the cost of supplies for the welder, grinder and torch gas.

Now your on to something. Lots of Fresno people on here. Rocblaze does some seriously awesome work, just look at Marlins doors. He is in Oakhurst, I'll bet he can give you a price.
