high no in smog????
« on: Aug 13, 2008, 07:19:55 PM »
ok well i finally passed smog.. had a couple of posts about fixing it.... it failed horribly and i replaced the cat, o2 sensers and pcv valve and newer charcole canister ''old one was completely clogged''... i failed once with just the two o2 sensers replaced.. then this time i replaced the cat and new pcv valve and charcole canister but smogged it with an aftermarked airfilter unlike the stock airfilter like the first time it failed... well everything passes now but the NO concerns me.... before when it failed horribly ''GP'' the NO was really low...15 mph MAX 807 and it measured 190...25 mph MAX 746 MEASURES 228..................and  now with the new pcv and cat charcole canister with aftermarket ''dirty'' cone air filter the MAX is 1050 and it measures 1013 for the 15 mph and for the 25 mph it Measures MAX 910 Meas 48... what the hell is up with this???? dont understand how the 25 mph level is way lower and the 15 mph it way higher.... its the opposite for the first smog... also this may help you........................the last i smogged my truck was about a year and few months ago when it failed.. i just gave up... and let it sit.... today i smogged it but not an official smog.... i had a pre test so it wouldnt go into the dmv computers... and i need to take it to smog only station to get it official tomorrow...

It's been a WAY long time sence I had to think about NOX. it's a product / result of high temp and presser in the cly. maybe now it's running better the cly temp is getting hotter?
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:
