I'm putting together my drivetrain for my Formula Four F-toy buggy. Here is the setup that it will have-22R on pane, R151F, dual cases with marlin 10 degree adapter (stock gears in both cases at first) and 2.5 ton rockwell axles.
My question is would there be any reason not to run a forward shift t-case behind the tranny (already setup to run one anyway) and a top shift behind the adapter? It seems to me since the R151f is already made to have a forward shift behind it that it wouldn't be a weak link? Are the forward shift cases weaker in anyway? Maybe the shift rails?
Any and all comments, advice and pointers are welcomed.
Eric
