That isn't a bad deal, but 2L's are known to be the red-headed step child of toy diesels.
RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

Boost won't cure a poorly designed and unreliable engine though  :ack:

:therethere:  I'm sure somebody could use it, I just wouldn't recommend it to anybody I liked!

I have to say this....SWAP IT IN THERE LONG ENOUGH TO GO GET A SMOG REPS APPROVAL....registered as a deisel...SHOOT...dont even rebuild it.... go get it swapped on the title...then swap in a BAD ARSE 22r/re of your choice/build

for those who have done a complete v-8 swap.......Or..for me...a veggie motor, wouldnt care what was poorly designe about it...Id fix it......and run it on SVO
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

Since you like to yell, YOU CAN'T "FIX" BAD ENGINEERING!!!  If you got it and ran it on bio, you'd still have the same issues as so many who've run this engine.  Research goes a looooooooong way toward preventing future frustration
