ok so me and my uncle installed an lc cam yesterday and i havent been ableto figure out why its running rough. at idle it sounds good at around 1000rpm but when im accelerating at mid-range rpm (no tach
![Sad :(](https://board.marlincrawler.com/Smileys/marlin/sad.gif)
) it starts sputtering real bad. at higher rpms it clears up. ive done a lot of research and i think it might be my tps is out of adjustment. but my question is can the tps cause this condition even though we did not touch it? does it need to be adjusted because of the new cam. i know the dizzy timing is good. ive ohmed out the tps according to this table:
Test Clearance between
lever and stop screw Between terminals Resistance / '89*-'95 (ohms)
1. 0.00mm (0.000") VTA - E2 470-6100
2. 0.57mm (0.0224") IDL - E2 <2.3K
3. 0.85mm (0.0335") IDL - E2 open / Infinite
4. Wide Open Throttle VTA - E2 3.1K - 12.1 K
5. n / a c - E2 3.9K - 9.0K
my conclusions were:
Test Clearance between
lever and stop screw Between terminals Resistance / '89*-'95 (ohms)
1. 0.00mm (0.000") VTA - E2 1.02k
2. 0.57mm (0.0224") IDL - E2 open
3. 0.85mm (0.0335") IDL - E2 open
4. Wide Open Throttle VTA - E2 3.5k
5. n / a c - E2 6.9k
it seems to be out of adjustment but why didnt the truck have this problem with the stock cam? any help would be great.
