Just was wondering if i need the front hanger for my 85 because my friend gave me an extra pair of front 6" marlin springs? I didn't want to put them on and take it off if it didn't fit! Thanks.

i dont understand the question.......you are wondering if longer springs will fit in the stock spring mounts?

I didnt know marlin even made 6 inch springs

Measure them eye to eye and the location of the centerpin then measure the ones currently on your rig, if the springs are longer or the pin is different you will have issues including needing crossover steering.

Plus you will need to get a longer front ds, even if they fit without any mods to the hangers. Usually 4-5 inches max before the ds needs adjustment.
