Topic: another 90 sas 4runner now de'turbo'ed

here is my new daily driver, ist a 1990 4runner i picked up for $450 with a bad motor.  i also picked up an 85 4runner at a local junck yard for $400 that ran great, but no title, so i gutted it to build this one and traded the body and frame for an 87 4runner minus drivetrain.  I did a solid axle swap with some 3.5 alcans in the front and 3.5 ranchos from a 94 toy in the rear, the rear axle is a 94 v6 axle. the front is an 83 with diff armor, knuckle ball gussets and a truss. the gears are 4.37's with lincoln lockers.  I put my 30 spline chromoly shafts in it too.   I'm rocking duals and im going to install my 4.7 gears before the easter jeep safari.  the front drive shaft is square tubing and i have my ifs hub conversion kit on it.  after colapsing my drivers door    i put some aor sliders on it, and i just picked up this front bumper for free..  Well onto some pics

i also put on a roof rack modified from one offa 88 4runner.  Im gonna try to get some 37 mtr's under it before moab too, ive got 2 sets, one for 15" rims and another for 17" rims. i would like to get some 17" beadlock rims for it.  ive also got a spare set of doors for it that will be my half doors

ive got 2 4runners, 1 supra and 3 trucks, and im currently building 3 other rigs at the same time, i got alot on my plate, but i love building yotas

i got a turbo off an 86 mazda rx7 on the 4runner today, i built the manifold, got the oil lines done, and tomorrow i will pipe the saab intercooler  and blow off valve in and put the intake manifold back together

got it runnin, and took it for a spin around the block, it whistles alot, and it only pulls 3-4 lbs of boost, now i need to get some exhaust done

well the motor is officially trashed, not by the turbo, but by a brocken timing chain, and a carburated bottom end, it bent some valves and now its time to go with my supra motor, im done with this cursed 22re, i want power

im still rockin the 22re with a new head, and the supra motor is bein built with turbo injectors and a fresh bottom end with a rebuilt head
