Heim question
« on: Jan 25, 2008, 08:31:15 AM »
I am gather parts and info to start putting my FJ80 axles and 39.5s under my 82. I was going to 3 link with wishbones front and back to save a little money until a buddy of mine gave me 8 heims, but I don't know if they are large enough for suspension. They are 3/4" shank, 3/4" bolt hole, 1.31 ball diameter and 1.75 overall diameter. What application are these Joints best suited for? Do you think these would work as good upper links on a true 4 link with a larger joint and bushing on the bottoms?

My opinniion is that they would be best suited for a panhard bar and the upper links. Lowers should be as large as possible.
