4.7 toybox going in my fj60. Questions and advice?
« on: Feb 19, 2008, 09:18:27 PM »
Hey Guys,

I have an h55f 5 speed and a 4.7 toybox with the correct 19 spline adapters. I can't find any info on marlins site about cutting the output shaft on the tranny. Anyone know exactly? I have a call into Dave, otherwise tell me what you guys know! Install tips welcome also.  :turtle:

Didn't even know you could put a toy-box behind an H55.  It's not on the web page...

As for cutting a shaft?  Never heard of it.

Ya instead of swapping in a 'stub' output shaft, you cut the output shaft down to the proper length. Every time I call I can't get a hold of cruiserDave. . .
I'll post some pics regarding more specific questions tonight. The h55f toybox is very similar to the h42 just machine different on the front for the fifth gear.
