Newb Fron Texas
« on: Apr 22, 2004, 10:04:01 AM »
Hey, cool site you have here. I just ordered a hysteer setup and a ready to bolt on transfer case. The toy will never be the same from here on out :beerchug:. A friend of mine once sail you have to go one way or the other, well I have chose the other!! My Toy will be an offroad vehicle only  thanks to a little rollover and some rust. So far I have 5.29's front and rear with spool/hypinion rear and Detroit/hypinion front. It has 37'sx13 Boggers w/spare. 6" skyjacker lift that is still a little stiff. 3" body lift. Also have a warn 8274 winch (for those weel base unfriendly spots) This truck started life as a 1982 toyota Trekker. I have removed the conversion package and am in the process of turning it into a 4 seater semi buggy.

Sounds like you got a pretty awesome rig!  I liked the Trekkers though, I dunno if I could have pulled it apart like you did, but w/rust and roll I probably would have broken down and done the same thing!  Anyway welcome to the board, I am farely new as well.  BTW, what part of Texas are you from?  I'm from the DFW area, Dallas proper.

as for now no rust and no body damage lets see how long that lasts it and 85 xcab sr5 22re with 4:88 gears, lock right rear, 35 12.50 15r bfg muds, 3in wheel spacers.the rears are chevys with 3in blocks and 4* shims, fronts are pro comp 5in  but that is temp only till i get $500 to go xover and then the packs i built out of my rears and some waggyswill be in. it has a 3in body lift i know it crap but is only so i can lift my drive train and get rid of that damn crossmember. enginebuilder cam, pace setter header and 2 1/2 in all the way with a 40 series flowmaster making it sound like a big block. in the pic im not quite flexed out in the rear and no ever close in the front

La Calaveria, I am in Cedar Park Texas right out side of Austin . NJWEST, that is twisted. Those chevy springs twist up nice. Do you know a guy name Jeff Bellas from San Manuel/Mamoth area? He has a Toy and weels out in that neck of the woods.
