Topic: my wild and crazy hypothesis's

warning: these are in on way proven to any point. they are just random thoughts that i happen to have from time to time. there is nothing backing them up as truth, so dont got a your pants becuase they are flat out retarded and kinda mind boggeling if you are open and think they are possible. if you dont want to read these, then dont. close the thread and run away crying. it wont hurt my feeling  at all.

well with that aside ill start with my time thoughts.

do you (reader) ever notice that there are times when the clock speeds up and times when it is so slow you could cry? i sure as hell have. and the other day at work i was thinking about while i was spraying paint yet again. and i could have swore the time froze while i worked, becuase it felt like it took way to long. and well, here is the hypothesis:
the higherpower (insert your god of choices name here) is getting bored at that moment in time watching you. so what does it do? hits the FF button and time FLYS by. and when you look at the time you think, wow that time sure flew and probobly ranmbly something off like this "time flys when your having fun". i now think that is wrong. the person looking down is bored and wants to get to the next chapter in your life and they dont really give a flying  what your up to, so they skip it. and time flys for you. now this is where things get complicated. when it seems time goes really slow, they do not want to miss what your doing so they hit the slow mode button. so time slows way down and you get done doing what you do and think, wow that took forever. and now is when i confuse myself so im gunna stop typing and post. thoughts anybody??

theory of relativity. i dont follow any religion so the way i see it is:
when your doing something that requires paying attention, making your mind work or doing something that you want to do, time fly's by.
if your doing something that you dont want to do or that you can just lay back and sit, time seems to slow down as your brain and body are not processing what is going on as quickly.

when your doing something that requires paying attention, making your mind work or doing something that you want to do, time fly's by.
if your doing something that you dont want to do or that you can just lay back and sit, time seems to slow down as your brain and body are not processing what is going on as quickly.

i know that Einstein talked about the theory of relativity, but i dont know how he explained it. thats just my explination.

Red nailed it....when you're doing something you're not too interested in and/or you have nothing to keep your brain occupied, all you concentrate on is watching the clock tick and it could drive a man insane.  But when you're keeping busy or doing something fun, you lose track of time because you have better/other things to concentrate on.

I don't know, it seems to me that sometimes you're really involved and think that time should have really passed and it is not nearly as late as you thought it should be.
And what about when everybody you talk to says the same thing about the week. 'Wow, this week is really dragging'
or 'Holy CRAP this week is just FLYING BY'
Not everybody is necessary as busy as everybody else, but they all seem to be experiencing the same lag or speeded up week.

I have always said "someone is messing with time again"

And don't even get me started on some of MY hypothesis!
