FINALLY! Crossover Steering!
« on: May 17, 2004, 11:44:13 PM »
Whats up guys- After a long while, I'm finally getting my crossover setup. I went to the Pick 'N Pull in Oakland today and scored a steering box out of an 88 4Runner for 70 bucks! Now I'm just waiting for that beautful cardboard box to be sitting on my doorstep from Marlin. One question: How difficult is it to mount the box on my '85 frame?
85 P/U, 5.29's, ARB's, 5" Skyjacker front w/ shackle, 5" Chevy rear w/ shackle+buggy,in cab cage, Ford shock hoops etc. I WANT CROSSOVER!!!

Easy enough.  The only real things youll want to watch out for are the gussets that run inside the frame sometimes.  Those dang things can cause some havoc trying to drill through them.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??
