1st Gen bed on 93 extra cab????

Will a bed off a 80-83 pickup fit onto a 93 extra cab? Or can it be made to fit? thanks

anything is possible. but the body lines wont match up very good and i imagine the mounts are different.

I like the utility beds on newer style trucks. Hard thing is to find a nice clean bed for cheap.

It's usually the other way.  A 2nd gen truck with a 3rd gen bed.  The 2nd gen beds rusted pretty bad around the wheel wells.  Check out www.yotayard.com.  It's just a quick jaunt over the mountains for you!  Take your bed off, tape the lights to the frame and head on over.  Slap the new bed on there reinstall your lights and roll on back!

it looks okay like that, but it also looks as if they bondo'd over the body lines on the bed.  i think if they hadn't done that it would look much worse. 

in your case, i think you may have some issues of the mounts lining up, but its worth a try. 

i personally have a 2nd gen cab with a 3rd gen bed and it looks decent...the body lines dont line up perfect, but who cares.
