This guy is asking $200 for an 88 rear axle with new beerings and seals and a welded 3rd. How much do they usually go for?

that's not bad. retail on bearings/seals is like 150~175 anyhow. dunno how much they are normally though. ask for a reciept.

Ya he said he has like $175 into the bearings and seals. It's that guy with that runner we met up at LaGrange that lives here in Modesto. He just did a SAS and got all new axles and everything so hes selling his old one.

oh you mean Clint? offer him 175 cash and say you are friends with Julie....See if he'll take it. Tell him the rest isn't worth much. Or if you want I'll have her talk to him for "me".

You know, the funny thing is, you'd think these guys would know to come to me for a better deal on parts...even the Oakdale guys pregnant dog but I can only sling used stuff here.

, I'm sure Jeremy would hook them up a little too.

Yea Clint,I just got a FrontRange front bumper from him the other day. Then today I sold my buddy a 85 front axle he had for $300. So he gave me those calipers and stuff. At first he said $300 for the axle then he went $250 now he said $200 and he's not gonna go any lower. I think I might go pick it up tomarrow.

Yes he does think all his stuff is gold! But in reallity i'm paying $25 for the axle,because I would just put new bearing and junk in it anyways. Thats cheaper and stronger than paying $75 for wheel spacers to gain that 3"

$200 is cheap for a complete rear end. I would jump on that. I bought one the other day for 100, but I have payed 200 for them also, it just depends on what you need, when you need it and what you can find. I usually sell the rear ends out of ifs trucks for 200 with no third member.
