square drive shaft

If I use the front CV and u joint from the drive shaft off my 1980 to make a square drive shaft, will there be any binding from the CV off this year?  I'm run a single t case with a high pinion diff.

My 93, V6, auto tranny, single case, high pinion, CV front shaft built by Jesse, with 4" SAS springs, will bind if I allow the axle to droop more than 4".  I have to use a limit strap.

what year models are less likely to bind.  my '83 is running about 6" and i don't want any issues.
