95 3.0 question

i have a 3.0 v6 that i just got. whenever im driving and about to stop, i put it in neutral and coast to the stop sign/ red light, it starts choking/spitting/sputtering. when i completely stop it starts idling regular again. where should i start?

what do your RPMs do?  IS the truck running fine otherwise?  throwing any codes?  if its running normally except for that, I'd guess you need to crank up your idle a little bit.  :thumbs: The idle should be somewhere around 600-800.  I think closer to six.

is it throwing any codes? 

in the diagnostics terminal on the pass. fender (little box next to the engine bay fuse box)  just the Te1 and E1 terminals with a paperclip.  Turn the truck on, and then count the pattern of blinks the check engine light goes through.  Then use this link http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/codes/ to find out what codes are being thrown :thumbs:  The directions for pulling the codes are in the link as well :yesnod:
