anybody ran an elocker in front?
« on: May 02, 2007, 08:58:42 PM »
Im running a HiPinion Elocker in front now and Im sure everyone will say its fine but I cant believe how hard it is to turn when locked even on a hard gravel alley. It pretty much wont turn at all predictably. Thats normal though right. I run 37X14.5 and MAN IS IT HARD TO TURN! :screwy:

If it's hard to turn flip the damn switch! That's the point of a selectable locker in the first place. My Detroit in the front is hard to turn also but hyd. assist will fix that.

Only thing I've heard bad is
Quote from:  the gospel according to dirty skivies
they can take 10+ seconds to engage...not really what's wanted for the front of a trail rig.

I have hydro.  I wish I had done it earlier.  but agreed.  locker up front = lots of backing.  there will always be a time your locked for an obstacle and can't hit the line because you can't steer.
