Topic: newbie saying hello

Just checking in. I have a pretty good project started up. And am somewhat new to the wonderful world of TOYOTA WHEELING. I used to wheel a 79 CJ5 but will never own another Heep after I got a couple of Toyotas. Right now, I'm working on my 83 4x4. Doing the Chevy rear swap and rears up front approach. Was wondering though, (and sorry for posting this on another board) if a Toy t-case can be clocked for better clearence? I'm aiming for a flat underbelly with no more than a 5 inch lift.

Just wait on that for about a week.  Ill be giving my 81 a flat belly with no body lift.  (wish it was that easy for the owner )  Check out my buildup in the projects section, $300.  I have heard of a kit that allows clocking the case but the company excapes me at the moment.  Have fun on the buildup, I know I am!

hey if you can get some good pics of what you're doing to get the flat belly. was gonna do one with a drive train lift. But not too crazy bout the body lift I'd need to do so. Wanna keep my center of gravity as low as possible.

Im doing mine for the same reasons.  I wanna keep it low & flat.  Im cutting the transmission tunnel to do mine.  Ive got aome ideas that will make it come out pretty nice.  Well nice enough for this truck anyway.

Welcome to the baord and lets see this thing. What was wrong with your jeep you had ?

Nothing wrong with the Jeep. Just thought that the wheelbase was a little too short. That and the fact that my 84 4x4 was bone stock with a welded rear and 33's. And it would run circles round the CJ5. As for pics, I have none right now. But there will be some as soon as i get the film done...
