Can anyone tell me the factory lube for a 1996 Tacoma 4X4 manual box, and is there a synthetic that can be used instead. Thanks, mitch

I would start looking at 80/90 gear oils...

X2, you can go and get your whole system flushed, rad, trans, and oil.... flushed for like 100 bucks or less... i haven't heard of anyone doing it themselfs, but i am sure it's possible..
