'85 22R carb, alternator, misc parts cheap. in Fresno CA
« on: Aug 03, 2006, 09:30:13 PM »
I have all the parts off a 22r. It sucked a valve and I need to get rid of the parts. I used a few parts to put a 20R in but everything else goes.
  Stock Carb and air cleaner...$10
  Alternator....$10
Anything else mail me. I'm going to take it all to the scrap yard if I don't sell it.

Do you have anything that has to do with power steering? pump, hoses, brackets, fluid reservoir..... all the stuff to put power steering on my 85! thanks - nick.

The truck had manual steering.  On my truck I used a IFS Toyota gearbox but used a GM Saginaw pump and made the bracket. You can use reusable hydraulic hose fittings to make the metric gearbox match the standard pump. It works fine. You can find Saginaw pumps at junkyards on gm trucks and cars with remote or "sardine can" reservoirs.

How much to send the carb over to 67207...
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I do still have the trans but was thinking of keeping it. It was rebuilt the first of the year and I was thinking it would be a good transmission if I built a tube frame single seat buggy. I'm still undecided on it but if you are not in a hurry give me a little time to trip over it a few times and I might change my mind.
