trans carb 5speed in efi auto
« on: Jan 20, 2004, 07:35:42 AM »
Are there going to be any supprise's durring install of a 5 speed out of a carbed 85 mini into an 85 efi auto runner.  I have two complete vehicles but I want to keep my runner, not the mini.  Is the most of my worries electric, (nuetral start switch and reverse lights)?

Lucky for you, your runner has a clutch slave cylinder block-off plate. After changing the swing pedal assm, remove the plate, and the slave cylinder bolts right in :beerchug:
You will need to bypass the auto netural saftey switch before it will start. Unplug the connector above the starter, and loop the largest two white? wires. This will complete the starter circut. You will need a test light to locate the backup light power and connect the wires to the switch on the side of the G52 trans.
