Coolant System Question...
« on: Sep 14, 2006, 05:12:14 PM »
Alright, I am having more troubles with the coolant hardline that mounts with the flange under the intake runners.  It appears that the tube is a bit bent and the holes just won't line up right...I can't even get the bolts to pull it back into alignment.  Can't just swap it out cause you have to pull the head to get it off of there.  Has anyone ever cut the tube and replaced the hardline with a hose clamped to what is left of the tube and the flange?  Anyone see any problems doing this?  It might just be my easiest fix.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Thats the one on mine, it has a rubber hose on the end of it, you can't see it in the pic though. I've removed mine without taking anything off.

I think I might have broken a bolt too.
