I just finished my SAS but using a 94 2wd and turning it into a dual case wheeler!! I don't know what kind of questions you have but I might know some of the things you ponder!

If we are able to guess how many FRONT axles there are in that pile, can we get one free?!

My question about the SAS is if I get a d-44 would I have to have the ends turned? I've got a possible 83 toy axle to buy but im exploring the options before doing it. Just gonna start buying it a piece at a time.

Hey, 89yotaboy-
If its info on straight axle swaps your looking for, then I suggest doing a SIMPLE search on your own( I believe anyone with a brain larger than a peanut can do this).  You will find on forums such as Pirate,4x4wire,Wildyoats,Toyotalinks, and so-on----- have a ton of legit. info and how to's and pics on SAS's.  It is done all the time, and yew, drilling and jigging the rear shackle hangars is the hard part.  Marlin hysteer arms rock, AP has killer front hangar kit.  Investigate and educate--- then ask some questions.    See ya on the trail

Newman! what's up dude? you in Sonora for turkey day? OH and to you guys talking about drunk driving-I don't care how much you're kidding or not-you guys are idiots. lets stick to technical advice please. BSers can go to PBB.
As to your SAS- cheap spring options are: Rear toy springs up front, Allpro's are relatively cheap. Downey makes a cheap lift also, just don't use blocks....what are your plans, how much lift do you want? etc etc...
85' 4Runner- SWAPPED--Dodge Caravan IFS-front and rear, 235R13's on each corner, hubcaps. Toyota Corona drivetrain swap. Locked, left and right side doors, with the windows up.
