I'm thinking of selling my 1970 FJ40 Land Cruiser. Looking for $$ ideas and someone to talk me into or out of my new wild hair.......
1970 FJ40
350, 4 speed w/ granny low 1st, stock t-case, stock rear end, front Dana 60 cut and narrowed, 4:11 gears, 4 wheel disk brakes w/ booster, on board air, sprung over, beard seats w/ lap harness, 35/15.5/15 swampers, winch, family cage, 1/2 steel doors, locked front and rear, front and rear hitch, rear air bags, am/fm cass w/ 10 disc changer, cb, power steering, motor runs ok could use a tune up valve job and carb sink, trans is perfect, t-case leaks a little oil not much

Dude that thing is sweet!   :thumbs:   Ultra clean with all the great upgrades.  Why would you want to get rid of that?

An extra cab may be too long.  I have heard of people having problems turning Xcabs a tight places.  That rig is just too sweet to give up

I have been trying to talk him into, making the wheel base grow about 10 inches by linking the rear and run some waggy springs up front. It has good stuff on it, just fix whats wrong and  :driving: it. Still working on talking him into......hell I need to learn 4 link anyway

Stock WB is 90". Flip the springs (turn each around 90 degrees) and you'll be @ 98". Or you can get stupid like me and end up @ 109" on a 40.  :booya:

Yup, another 4". Cool thing is with the short end of the spring arc @ the back, you also make your departure angle awesome.
