I am helping a friend put his 81 truck together and have a couple of questions. He got the truck missing the rear 3rd member and sitting on jack stands.
We area about ready to install the rear 3rd member and noticed that there are two shields in the housing. I'm not sure exactly how they fit into the assembly.
Also, are the nuts/washers that hold the 3rd member in the housing a special part? His are missing.
I think we are about a days work away from having a living breathing truck!
