Replacing a worn out transmission
« on: May 24, 2006, 10:48:53 AM »
It's time to change out that worn out W-56. I bought a 93 w-56 tranny with trans-case the other day. Been looking one for awhile to replace the tranny in my 85 4Runner. I was just goin to use the clutch already in there, but i change my mind since the tranny already out just put a new clutch in. I'm going to buy a clutch kit from Marlin, I know the clutch  for 85 w-56 (8 7/8) is different than a 93 w-56 (9 5/16). Since the new tranny is 93 use a 93 clutch kit simple right :headscratch:. Will i have any problem hooking the 93 tranny & trans-case to the 85 22RE I have in my 85 4Runner.

The 93 transmission and trans-case came out of a truck with 22RE in it to.   :smack: First time changing a tranny in a toyota. I'm use to a Dodge
