Radio Antenna?
« on: Apr 23, 2006, 06:52:52 PM »
The PO swapped an aftermarket head unit into my truck and, instead of buying an adapter to connect the antenna, just left it rolling around on the floor. I finally figured out what happened today and pulled the wire, finding a severed end where it probably would connect to an antenna. The thing is, I can't find an antenna or anywhere for one to go on the outside of the truck? Where are they located on a 2nd gen? I'd kinda like to get the electrics in this thing right, so I can listen to more than old CD's.

i have heard from several sources that those combo splitters are bad......

as far as where to mount an antenna, its usually on the passenger fender

I want an antenna because I like to listen to music outside of my MP3 player, and I don't care to use CD's anymore (use an MP3 player for music outside the house and truck, and for those days where classes get real boring). I'm already eyeing a nice spring mounted antenna thats hanging on one of the semi's we aren't using. I just need to buy a wire and figure how I want to mount it and I'll be set. I'm thinking fender or cowl, I was just wondering cause there's no holes or anything on my truck where one would have been.
