And that's it. I already used some of his other pics in my other posts from Suprise canyon.
But here's a last one of us parked just outside of the posted "Route Closed" gate..
Hey Rock Surfer, I think Marlin did the run you went on two years ago. I did the Defense Mine I think 3 years ago in our old Red V6 Crawler Truck that we sold a while ago. I really love exploring old ruins and of course walking through caves
I would love to see that video you have. It would be neat to see it! And next time we are this close together, lets do some wheeling already sheesh!
Oh yeah, I also have a letter from the Department of the Interior I got from a sign in sheet at the beginning of Suprise Canyon.
Here is what it writes:

Subject: Surprise Canyon
Date: May 26, 2005The Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service welcome you to Surprise Canyon.
We hope you enjoy your visit and your federal lands. We recently closed Surprise Canyon to the use of motorized vehicles to provide immediate protection of natural and cultural resources from the adverse effects caused b off-highway vehicles. Surprise Canyon remains open to unlimited hiking and backpacking.
We are working on a long-range plan regarding future public access into this canyon. Among the alternatives that will be examined are keeping the canyon close to motorized vehicles as well as designating it open to motorized vehicle use. If you would like t participate in the public review and comment phase of this planning project, please send a brief written request by U.S. Mail or electronicall to the above addresses and we will gladly add you to our public mailing list. A form is attached for your use in contacting us. If you have already requested to be placed on our mailing lists for Surprise Canyon there is no need to make a second request.
Please take a moment and provide us brief information about your visit to Surprise Canyon in the Surprise Canyon Visitor Log.
Sincerely,
