want to sell black can-back top from my 86 p/u. the rails have have been installed for some time and need to be repainted, but the top is in great shape. also it needs a new strip for the tailgate seeing as the center snap is broken. i also had a flat bag made to store the top in while its off the truck. $600 OBO.

the truck and i are both in San Diego, CA. one more point of interest is that the foam strips underneath the bed rails will most likely need to be replaced before being installed on a different truck. i haven't checked but I'm sure the parts could be purchased from can-back fairly easily.

one more thing i forgot is that the top is for a SHORT-BED.

few questions:
what is the length of your bed from front mounting point to rear for the top? I've got a bobbed longbed...

Does it have sidewindows? Any tears/rips?

I'm not sure of the bed length exactly , but it is a unmodified short bed, i could check on Tuesday.

other than that, the top has a front and rear window but no side windows, still in good shape.

no rips or tears and actually very watertight when all buttoned up (i was the one who carried everyones gear when it started to rain)

the plastic strap buckles and the CAN-BACK label have started to fade though.

I purchased the top new in 98 but it hasn't spent much time on the truck( maybe four months total).
as for the dimensions-
the side rails are 1 x 2 tubing with the 2 inch horizontal.
the front rail is 1 x 1.
across the front, outside to outside is 59 1/2.
and the lenght, outside to outside is 75 1/4.
the rails bolt directly through the top of the bed.
