my best friend has an 01 5rz with the 3.4 I think. Anyway, at 90k miles he ground the syncromesh off the tranny. His own fault for slamming gears. But the motor itself has ran like a champ since day one. Even after hitting the river at 65...flooding the motor, and filing the airbox with water. :-D Ran better afterwards. I guess it burned all the carbon off the pistons and head.
