39.5s on a 91
« on: Feb 06, 2006, 07:04:52 PM »
I had big plans of doing a SAS and buying 36" IROKs but I already have a set of 39.5 TSLs that are close to brand new just sitting around. Before I go and start cutting sheetmetal I thought I might get acouple of opinions on lift height and how much to trim. Also I just put in a brand new 22re so I plan to use it with 5.29 gears anyone have experiance with this setup? Will it be enough to pull those tires? Ill have a seperate set for street driving. Thanks, Josh

That is with a 4"s front IFS lift, and chevies in the rear, without blocks, and a 3" body lift. Just t give you perspective.  As for the gearing, the 5.29s are going to be a bit slow with the 40s, but it'll do alright.  I think the right gears are

I tried to post pics but didnt have much luck I guess the picture size was too big.  After playing around with the 40s and seeing just how tall the truck would sit even after cutting the hell out of the fenders I think I will start off with the 36" IROCKs. Now I need to figure out what backspace I want to run. Does 2" sound about right to everyone?
