« on: Feb 01, 2006, 08:29:03 AM »
well i just put a brand new 22r in my 87 and the oil pump pretty much granaded. attarco, the company i bought the motor from gave me a brand new oil pump and seal kit and i cant get the oil pump drive gear off... tried pulling it off with vice grips tried hitting it with a hammer and cold chisel since it has stripped teeth and is pretty much worthless... soaked it in pb blaster overnight and still nothing... any input will be helpful

You could try drilling and tapping a couple of holes in it then using a puller.  I am assuming by your message that you got the cover off.  Any way that sucks, good luck.
Anything that takes twelve steps just aint worth do'in
