Parting Out 84 pickup
« on: Jan 24, 2006, 09:11:54 AM »
Parting out whats left of my buddies 84 pickup that I bought. I just need the Front Axle to do the SAS, the rear springs, and the rear 3rd. Everything else I dont need. I seen the truck run many times. My buddie has had it the last 3-4 years. He rebuilt the moter and about 100k later he run it kinda hard and the moter started knocking.(pretty sure its a rod) but he parked it and I bought it. It never locked up, just knocked. It has a good transfer, and tranny. It has the 22r moter, and all components. Doors, cab, hood,NO BED. Lots of good parts, I just dont need them, my 86 22r is EFI, with a different tanny and transfer also. Located in Middle TN, bought an hour from Nashville. Just let me know.

The shifter? or the shaft? All I can find for shifters are short shifters for like 150 bucks. I  am doing a 5speed swap and just need something to change gears. My swap tranny didnt come with one.

I will get some pics this weekend. I leave to go to work before clear daylight and get home well after dark, so it will be sunday before I get some pics.

-The cab is in ok shape, but its a fixer upper. The seats are crappy, havent looked at the dash much. Doors got some dents that can be knocked out, and it has no grille(has headlights) or front fenders.

-Olemiss so you just need the shifter, I will yank it off and see.

I am in need of a few parts that from your pictures you might have.  I need the cover for the ash tray, lighter and stereo.  Mine got busted up from a stereo thief.  I also belive it looks like you have potentialy an SR5 gauge cluster.  If so it would have Tach,Speedo,Temp, Fuel, Volts, oil.  If this is the style of cluster you have and it is all in working condition I will purchase it say $60.00.  You can post or email me at flfdpyro@hotmail.com or call 970-250-8721.
