$500 for an 85 Runner?
« on: Apr 18, 2005, 12:34:22 PM »
Just came across an 85 4Runner for $500.00
Body is rusted at the fenders, engine has a rod knock.

Should I buy it or not?

depends on what your plans are for it. You could easily make your money back plus $ if you part it.

For $500 bucks i would jump on it. Motors are fairly cheap, or you could part it and make 3x your money back.

I don't even know if it is driveable.
Someone will probably have to flat tow it from there.

Find someone with a trailer or dolly. Or rent a trailer for about 50 bucks. Tow it with whateva you got.
