Brake Question
« on: Nov 21, 2005, 07:14:32 PM »
I need some help here.  I have an 87 Zuk with Toy axles and vented Cruiser rotors all around along with IFS calipers.  I mounted a Toy mini truck brake booster to it and need to get a FJ master cylinder.  I am not sure what to do with the brake lines?  Do I re-run all new lines from the master cylinder throughout?  Do I need a/any proportioning valve?  The Sammy is a strange vehicle as far as proportioning valves go.  Thanks.  Jim

if the lines will plumb into the m.c. and are the same size I would just use the old ones. Unless they are in bad shape. A proportioning valve is a good idea. I'd just plumb one for the rears. You can get an aftermarket one from Jeg's or Summit for fairly cheap. :twocents:
