this should help http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=14904.0 might help, maybe not

the body liens wont match up..... i dont think the 3rd gen would look that great on a first gen truck... but hey anything is possible... they should bolt up relatively the same... i have a similar post of ttora, and someoen there named yotadick used to have a first gen bed on a 3rd gen truck... also i know that you will need to do something abotu the front bed mount.... the first gen beds had a bolted on mount and the mount in the 2/3 gens are on the frame..... this mount is easily attainable and will bolt on to the factory area of the later style bed with a couple holes nad some bolts though... i have a set actually if you need them... i put an 83 bed on my 85 truck

The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission.
