I just had an open carrier shipped to me and it weighed more than 9-lbs so I would expect that a Detroit would weigh more?

looks like a soft locker, may be the no spin, older more aggressive version.

that looks nothing like the detroit locker I put in my truck.  I think that is a true trac or soft locker.  This is what a detroit really looks like

tru trac and soft locker are 2 different things.
the tru trac is a limited slip, the soft locker is the updated version of the no spin with dapeners in it to prevent it from banging and clunking like the no spin would.

I was told by the owner (long time yota guy and friend) that it is a detroit that is a few years old.
thanks for raising the ? but I am fairly certain that he knows what locker he bought new.

I didn't see any #'s or anything but I haven't looked closely. It is pending sale right now  ;)

I have a sale pending but I'll let you know what kind of trade we can work out.  doors are not a huge priority b/c I don't even run them right now  :beerchug:

I also don't NEED to sell this anymore as I bought my dubla' weeks ago.  I MIGHT just keep it and install it up front
