L.E.D. Taillights
« on: Nov 01, 2005, 06:22:19 PM »
I'm planning on building some LED taillights for my 85. I'm going to put boards in the stock taillight housing, red and orange of course. The back-up lights would not be very bright as led's and most likely look a little off so i'm not going to change those.

What do you guys think about this?

superbrightleds.com is where I was going to get all the components, very good company, I used them making a set of led taillights for a friends 89 supra. I also had a great experience with them.

LEDs are brighter but with the back up lights, standard bulbs give more distance I think. I am using 3000s in the brake and signal lights with them dimmed for the running lights, also considering going ahead a making the front turn signals LED while I'm doing the work.
